POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Position Title: Secretary – Faculty Department(s)
Salary Grade: N/A
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or GED.
Experience: Two (2) years of directly applicable experience.
Skills/Abilities: Good interpersonal skills with diverse employee groups.
Reporting Structure:
Reports to: Manager of Academic Services
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Types a variety of materials including handouts, tests, quizzes, exams, letters, purchase requisitions, memos, and syllabi.
- Provides courteous and timely phone coverage in support of students and faculty needs.
- Maintains adjunct mailboxes, sorts and distributes faculty mail on a daily basis.
- Supplies necessary forms for in-service requests, purchase requisitions, absence reports, work orders, grade change requests, and all other forms used by faculty.
- Establishes and maintains files in support of ongoing projects and correspondence.
- Maintains syllabi files and archives.
- Provides secretarial support to the CRC. Attends CRC meetings to record minutes, types minutes, organizes and distributes all CRC related paperwork.
- Posts class cancellation notices and forwards information to appropriate Academic Affairs staff.
- Assists faculty and adjunct faculty with classroom needs.
- Maintains faculty and adjunct faculty contact databases.
- Provide support for the Academic Program Review Process as needed.
- Processes faculty photocopy/print requests.
- Assists with SUMMA evaluations and projects of a similar nature.
- Attend Adjunct Orientation Sessions for the Fall and Spring semesters.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
